Since 1965, Giorgio has represented that small group of young, farsighted gallery owners who were able to see Mario Schifano as one of the most important Italian artists, and who believed in him even in the less happy years of his career, preserving intact a core of his works that are now fundamental to the history of Italian and international art.
The Archivio is deeply grateful to him for this, and also recalls that Giorgio was an active member of our institution with regard to the archiving of works from the Sixties.
